One Way Nitric Oxide Helps Fight Infections

Researchers at the University of Illinois Chicago have discovered the role of nitric oxide in fighting infection.

In your body microphages hunt down and kill bacteria. One of the chemicals used by microphages to kill the bacteria is nitric oxide.

From Science Daily:

"Without the ability to synthesize inducible nitric oxide synthase, a macrophage would be missing a key element of its chemical weaponry. We would expect these cells to be much less effective at killing bacteria and attenuating sepsis." - Ravi Ranjan, research scientist at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine

In other words, if a microphage were a ninja, then nitric oxide would be one of its swords.

RediBeets is an all-natural, red powder that contains concentrated nitric oxide.
