Fat verses Muscle

Have you ever heard someone say:

"Five pounds of fat and five pounds of muscle are the same. I just want to lose five pounds!"

Nope They're not the same.

Five pounds of muscle is metabolically active tissue which helps your body burn more calories, even when you're not exercising.

Five pounds of excess fat just takes up space. It does nothing for you.

So if you're on a weight loss journey, you want to focus on losing fat, not muscle.

How do you do this?

By strength training and doing resistance exercises like push ups, tricep dips, crunches, etc.

Build up your muscles mass and you'll see changes to your body.
