The Reasons for Colds and The Flu

Although a virus (RNA) may be a contributing factor in catching a cold, it's a weakened immune system hurt by stress, a poor diet and not enough sleep that is the actual reason you get the infection.

Below are ways to avoid colds and even the flu:

  • Nine daily servings of fruits and veggies
  • Avoid sugar
  • Enough rest and sleep
  • Lower stress levels
  • Higher intake of omega-3 fats
  • Exercise regularly
  • Regular hand washing
  • Whole food supplements

In addition, a runny nose is a sign that the immune system is working to rid your body of something.

Most colds only last a few days and usually your body can handle them if you have not been abusing it.

Also, antibiotics do nothing for colds, as they do not touch viruses.

Instead, Vitamin C can be used as an antibiotic. However, make sure you take enough to the point of saturation. You'll know you've saturated your body with enough Vitamin C when you start having diarrhea.

Don't wait until you get sick before you do something about it. Choose to stay well.

In the end, you'll be glad you did it.
