She Couldn’t Stand Up… Then She Could
“You forgot to give me my spinach juice.”
That’s what her mother would tell her.
Her mother had Parkinson’s and dementia.
Eventually, she came to live with her.
At first, things were difficult.
She needed a walker.
She couldn’t stand up from a chair by herself.
So her daughter started making changes.
Food.
Water.
Daily walks.
And something green she called “spinach juice.”

After a couple of months...
her mother could stand up by herself again.
And eventually started walking without the walker.
What Vivian remembers most, though, is that her mother actually liked the green drink.
If she forgot it, her mother would remind her.
“You forgot to give me my spinach juice.”
