Rocky Mount Woman Relives Miraculous Flight

Most people would never believe this story if it hadn't actually happened.

Janice Gravely story

In January 1982, Janice Gravely was flying with her husband Edmund in a small four-seat airplane.

Then suddenly, at 6,000 feet, her husband lost consciousness.

He had suffered a heart attack while flying the plane.

Janice had never flown before.

No idea how to land.

No way out.

Over the radio, people across eastern North Carolina listened as she prayed out loud and cried for help while the plane circled through the sky.

Eventually, the plane crash-landed in a field and struck a tree.

Injured and unable to walk well, Janice crawled through the field searching for help.

She survived.

Her husband did not.

Years later, Janice continued sharing her story around the world.

About faith.

About survival.

About getting a second chance.

Later in life, she also became interested in nutrition and whole-food supplements.

That became part of her daily routine too.
