When I was in college, my grandfather died of cancer after months of treatment and hospice care.

A few years later, my father also died of cancer.

For the last eight years of his life, he needed an oxygen machine just to breathe.

Watching that up close changes you.

At some point, I made a quiet decision.

I don't want to end up like that.

I want to grow old with my wife.

I want to rebound the basketball for my son.

That's my story.
