And he says he wasn’t nearly as hungry as he expected.

What makes David’s story especially interesting is that he started this journey after a kidney transplant.

He was in his fifties.

He had low testosterone.

And very little weightlifting experience.

For years, he believed his body simply could not become muscular or fit-looking.

Eventually he realized the problem wasn’t necessarily his body.

It was his system.

He built routines around healthy habits.

Meal timing.

Workout schedules.

Accountability.

Progress tracking.

Daily repetition.

Over time, those actions stopped feeling forced.

They became habits.

David also learned something else.

Healthy eating often looks “weird” to people who are used to processed food.

But decades ago, eating simple whole foods was normal.

His overall approach stayed surprisingly basic:
