It's Time For Toad Suck Daze!

The annual Toad Suck Daze festival is here!

For the 28th year, the population of Conway will swell to well over 150,000 people, as folks from all over descend on downtown to buy crafts, listen to live entertainment, enjoy carnival rides and indulge in any food that can be stuck on a stick and deep fried.

Held the first weekend of May, Toad Suck Daze is the largest free event of its kind in Arkansas. It lives up to its reputation as the best family fun time in the state.

The popular Stuck on a Truck contest kicks things off at noon on Thursday, as participants vie for a new Ford F-150. Traditionally, this event did not start until Friday at noon.

But a few years ago, several contestants were still stuck to the truck on Tuesday! So they decided to start this event a day early.

Next on the agenda is the Mardi Daze Parade and Toad Suck Daze Pageant.

Sports are also a big part of the festival, including the 5K and 10K races, the Tour de Toad bicycle race, the Toad Jam Basketball three on three tournament, the Toad Suck Daze Softball Tournament and the Toad Suck Golf Tournament.

Children have a blast with the Kids Firefighter Competition, Toadal Kids Zone, Toad Suck SuperStar, and of course the World Famous Toad Races!

While Toad Suck Daze is a great chance to come out and have fun, it's primary focus is to provide scholarships for Conway's two colleges and one university. Over the past twenty-eight years, the Toad Suck Daze committee has given over $1 million in scholarship and scholarship endowments for Faulkner County citizens.

We've bought our T-shirts and we're ready.

As long as the rain holds off, I know we'll have a 'toadally' good time!
